Boadicea Conversion
Picture Book

Here a strip of clear, double sided tape is covering the hole, the insulation tube and the red wire - which I have decided to bring out to the rear of the loco. I have cut the -ve rail pickup to size and bent it upwards.

But I have made a mistake here. I forgot that there is a small cylindrical brass weight which stands upright in the rear of the tender to add extra weight. It is tall enough to reach the top of the tender body on the inside. It is important to keep the tender wheels on the track to provide much needed electrical contact. I should have left the strip longer and folded it up further to the back of the tender. It does not matter if the strip contacts the brass. The chip and the brass rod will maybe interfere with each other, but with the chip placed at an angle, it can still be made to fit.
