Classic UK Minitrix Models  -  Under the Body
Video

I took down this video because it contains a few errors, the screen is fuzzy and because I was having real difficulty in working with the camera so close to the model it was obscuring my view of the model. My only view was through a tiny viewfinder, which had to be upside down for me to see it !

So points to watch for:

  • I didn't explain how to remove the boiler front cover to reveal the screw - which must be removed before doing any of what is shown in the video.
  • When showing the 'pry place' at 0:55 ish, I neglect to mention that the buffer needs to be pulled out on some locos in order to allow the body to lift. I have 7 of these models and none of them have shown this feature, but apparently it exists on some.
  • When pointing out where the screw fits at 3:21 ish, I am pointing at the larger hole. The screw hole is just above - obvious on the video, but not with my view when filming.
  • At around 5:00, I am trying to spring the motor clip out of its locating notch on the left side of the loco. My attempts up to 5:20 are thwarted as my driver point ends up underneath the valve gear cross member.
