This Brunswick Green version of the Ivatt 2-6-0 loco first appeared in the 1982 Hornby Minitrix Catalogue with cab number 46406. Apart from the colour, the model is built in exactly the same way, with no variations between it and the 1973 black model that appeared in the very first Hornby Minitrix catalogue in 1973.

But goodness, this model looks smart on the layout ! The model was designated N213 by Hornby and at some point a variation of the model started to appear in the N213 boxes. It didn't have a separate part number, but the some to the green Ivatt 2-6-0 were supplied the the cab number 46402. The Hornby Minitrix Catalogue does not make this distinction, but the German 1985/86 Minitrix catalogue makes the only reference that I have seen for this variation - Tucked away on a half page which shows all of the British Models that they still manufactured was the Green Ivatt with two variation. 46406 had the Trix part number of 51-2038-00 and the 46402 was allocated 51-2038-50. It does not very often come up for sale on ebay sites.

The notes here are illustrated with a mixture of original material and notes which were prepared for the 2-6-2 model.  As a result, the sharp eyed will spot photographs that are  of the 2-6-2 engine - but I have only done this where the part being illustrated is identical to the part on the 2-6-0.
