Classic UK Minitrix Models  -  The components
The Loco All in Bits

Here we can see all of the components. Compare how similar this is to the class 27. The chassis is all white metal, and although it looks symmetrical, it is 'handed' by virtue of the fact that the worm gearbox cover (2 black metal plates, bottom left) has tabs on one side and a screw hole in the other. The corresponding screw-hole can be seen on the nearside of the frame.

What else is different ?  Well the pantograph on either side of the loco body is new. It looks to be very flimsy, but in fact is quite sturdy, made of bent sprung wire. The two black components on the left of the chassis are the cab inserts for the blackened windows and the tiny clear plastic headlights. The loco body is metal.
